Invitation from Doris Buffett to Support Hearts & Homes
“The futures of nearly 30,000 children have been realized by Hearts & Homes for Youth, an incalculable benefit to the community and to the life of each child. There are thousands of other children who will reap these benefits in the years to come, and in whom we simply must invest.”

Our Amazing Holiday Wishmakers
Each year Hearts & Homes faces the daunting task of providing good holiday memories for 135 children from newborns to older adolescents. For 44 seasons of winter holidays individuals, churches, organizations, and businesses have been there to help. This year, as the children wrote their Wishlists we were more anxious then usual, as the bad economic times have touched us all. Amazingly, our partners came through once again. Every child at HHY received gifts, a party or a special outing and some happy memories just like regular kids. Even more importantly they realized that there are thoughtful and caring people in the community, something that was new for a number of our young people.
A special thanks to our Holiday Wishmakers, who came forward to fulfill the wishes of these very deserving children. Some were experienced Wishmakers and some were brand new.. You were all wonderful. I know how hard it was to interpret some of those wishes. And I know those unedited lists were pretty extravagant. Just like the lists we made as children. Thank you for your patience, your generosity, your concern, and your understanding. We absolutely could not have done this without you.
