Alumni Council

In the Interests of Children, an Alumni Council of Hearts & Homes for Youth is established, bringing together those who have devoted a portion of their professional careers to the care and treatment of troubled kids as staff or as advocates to the Mission of the agency since April 17, 1964.

For so many, Boys Home of Montgomery County or Boys and Girls Homes of Montgomery County or even Hearts & Homes for Youth  was to have been their very first opportunity to share themselves, their skills and their love for children. And now for some, many years later, fond memories and youthful zeal abide.

Comes now in the 44th year since the beginning, another grand opportunity to re-invest in the agency which they have not forgotten, to re-invest in the now hundreds of children given to it’s care. It is said that “you can’t go back again” but that does not apply since for most of us we have never really left and moreover, most of us are a bit smarter and may just have a bit more to offer now that we are more “seasoned” with value added experience to offer.

Each member of the Council may give of their sage advice and counsel, of their intelligence and creative energies toward the maintenance and strength of the heritage, purpose and mission; a legacy, a mark each has left on subsequent years of achievement already.

And yes, ‘the whole is, in fact, greater than the sum of it’s parts’ such that coming together once again to have fun, reminisce and to put great minds to work, assuring the future of the agency will have been an historical event in the lives of  Joey, Ben, Shante, and thousands more to follow.

God Bless You All
