<p class="MsoNormal"><span><strong><u>Foster Parent Resource Coordinator-</u> Full Time<br/><br/></strong><span style="FONT-SIZE: 10pt; FONT-FAMILY: Arial">The Foster Parent Resource Coordinator&nbsp;provides direct support for all foster parents and acts as a link between them and the program. He/She is responsible for developing and maintaining a foster&nbsp;parent retention plan, assists with training of the foster parents, maintains foster parent files, and helps with general office duties. Qualifying applicants must&nbsp;have public speaking skills&nbsp;and&nbsp;must be well organized at all times. He/She&nbsp;also must have solid writing skills and the ability to produce informational documents.&nbsp;<br/><br/>Other&nbsp;qualifying requirements are: proficient knowledge of all Microsoft applications, a valid driver's&nbsp;license, a clean driving record, experience working with families and/or parents, and a bachelor's degree in a related field. Interviewing, supervising, and training counselors; conducting weekly staff meetings; participating in weekly agency meetings, coordinating services for youth with Treatment Team, managing physical plant to be in accordance with local, state and Federal guidelines, evaluating policies and procedures, administering statistical data, maintaining appropriate records and forms, recruiting referrals into program from community based agencies.&nbsp; Must have strong organizational, writing, problem solving skills, and must have experience working with adolescents and/or youth.&nbsp;&nbsp; Master&#8217;s Degree with some experience in the field, or hold a Bachelor&#8217;s degree and 2 years of related experience, or a High School Diploma or equivalent and have 3 years of experience in related field and 1 year of supervisory experience.<o:p></o:p></span></p>

On this slightly overcast (no annoying glare) and unseasonably cool (no sweat or sunburn) Friday morning, golfers lined up for an 8:00am shotgun start at the USEC Golf Tournament. As starting holes were assigned, snazzy red golf carts took off for the rolling hills of Little Bennett Golf Course. </span>

of 2006, she was excited about this program and what the future might hold. She
had recently been kicked out of her foster home for fighting with the other
foster child and later bounced from foster home to foster home due to her
non-compliance with the household rules and incidents of being AWOL (absent
without leave). In spite of this, Maria was an honor roll student that didn&#8217;t
allow her pregnancy to get her off track.</span></div>

					  <title><![CDATA[Becoming a Foster Parent]]></title>

					  <description><![CDATA[<span style="font-size: 10pt; font-family: Arial;">Children can experience severe personal loss when separated from their families.&nbsp; They have lost the most important people in their lives &#8211; their parents, siblings and friends.&nbsp; They have lost their sense of belonging, their familiar living routines and everything that they&#8217;ve become accustomed to in their world.&nbsp; Unfortunately, this loss is not diminished when it&#8217;s the child&#8217;s unstable and oftentimes unsafe family dynamic that ultimately caused disruption in the home.&nbsp; Each child&#8217;s reaction to this separation varies.&nbsp; There may be outbursts of anger, aggressive language, bouts of depression or a myriad of other emotional, behavioral, or educational problems.&nbsp; Sometimes, there is little or no emotion, but internal scars that continue to haunt their thoughts and dreams for years.<br/><br/>As you see, deciding to foster a child is a difficult decision and will be hard work should you decide to accept the challenge.&nbsp; But, what better gift can you give a child than the opportunity to live in a safe, loving and therapeutic environment where deep scars have an opportunity to heal and legacies an opportunity to be rewritten. <br/><br/>There is a lot you will have to do to get ready for this challenge; however the rewards will enhance your life and possibly change your legacy as well.&nbsp; If you are considering becoming a licensed Therapeutic Foster Parent with Hearts&nbsp;& Homes for Youth, Inc., you must know that our agency is required by law to help ensure that our children reside and are well cared for in safe and nurturing homes.&nbsp; We will ask you questions, visit your home, and equip you with techniques that will assist you in overcoming the many challenges you will face. &nbsp;<br/><br/>CHARACTERISTICS OF FOSTER PARENTS:<br/><br/>1.
