WASHINGTON, D.C. (March 18, 2008) -- Mid-Atlantic Builders, Inc., an award-winning homebuilding and land development company, is helping to change the lives of disadvantaged youth living at the Langworthy Boys’ Home, operated by the Maryland-based nonprofit, Hearts & Homes for Youth.

In partnership with Home Builders Care Foundation, Inc., Mid-Atlantic Builders, Inc. is bringing together its business partners, employees and friends to improve the 86-year old home that provides long-term residential treatment for young adolescent males.  The project includes the installation of new kitchen countertops, a new brick patio in the backyard, patching of walls, re-shingling of the roof, painting a wraparound front and back porch, and putting in new dining room ceiling tiles, just to name a few.

“Mid-Atlantic Builders has a long history of philanthropic involvement with the citizens of Prince George’s County,” said Roger Lebbin, President and Founder of Mid-Atlantic Builders, Inc.  “The Home Builders Care Foundation is close to my heart and we are thrilled to help make the Langworthy Boys’ Home a better place to live under their auspices.”

“Mid-Atlantic Builders has given our boys at Langworthy an amazing gift,” added Rex Smith, President and CEO of Hearts & Homes for Youth. “It is because of our community partners and the exceptional assistance of organizations like Mid-Atlantic Builders that we can continue to provide for our kids, and help them to become independent, productive adults.”
