Here is a recipe for some mild chili for you and your family to enjoy making together! It’s a recipe for quality family time with a tasty reward at the end!
Half an onion, chopped
2 tablespoons of olive oil
1 pound of ground turkey
1 teaspoon of minced garlic
1 teaspoon of chili powder
1 teaspoon of crushed red pepper
2 teaspoons of oregano
1 cup of tomatoes, diced
1 can of roasted diced tomatoes
2 cans of navy beans
1 can of black beans
1 can of kidney beans
- In a stockpot over medium heat, saute the onion in oil until tender, about 4 minutes. Add the next five ingredients; stir around and cook until the meat is no longer pink.
- Add the tomatoes; cover and cook on medium/low heat for 5 minutes. Stir in the beans and salt/pepper if desired; simmer for 30-45 minutes or until heated through. Yield: ~16 servings
